These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of idaoffice.org and the services of INTERNATIONAL DRIVING AUTHORITY LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in the United Kingdom under number OC418927, of 207 Regent Street, 3rd Floor Suite, London, W1B 3HH ("International Driving Authority", "we", "us"). By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Shipping Policy.
1. The service
We prepare translations of national driving licences and issue them as a physical document (booklet and ID card) or as an electronic document. The document is a translation of your valid national licence and must be carried together with it. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the American Automobile Association (AAA) or any governmental agency, and our documents do not replace a valid national driving licence. Acceptance of the document is determined by the party to whom it is presented and is outside our control.
2. Eligibility and accurate information
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity in your jurisdiction and that all information you provide is true, accurate, and your own (or that you are authorised to submit it). We may refuse, cancel, or revoke a document issued on the basis of false or inaccurate information, without refund.
3. Orders and payment
Orders are processed after we receive a complete application and full payment. Pricing, accepted payment methods, and payment security are described in our Payment Policy, and apply to every order.
4. Delivery, cancellation, and refunds
Delivery times and methods are set out in our Shipping Policy. Your rights to cancel and obtain a refund are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. These documents form part of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
Your use of the service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of access and cancellation of documents.
6. Intellectual property
International Driving Authority is the owner or authorised user of all intellectual property associated with this website, including trademarks, logos, names, designs, and content. The website and its contents are protected by copyright and intended for your personal, non-commercial use. Except as permitted by our DMCA & IP Policy or by applicable law, you may not modify, reproduce, distribute, transmit, republish, or display website content for any other purpose without our prior written permission. Copyright complaints are handled under our DMCA & IP Policy, which sets out how to send us a notice.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service and all materials are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our agents are not liable for any damages (including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of information) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Full details are in our Legal Disclaimer, which should be read together with this section.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless International Driving Authority and its agents from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the service or any document we issue.
9. Order review and cancellation by us
Every application is reviewed by a member of our team before anything is produced. We may ask you for additional information or a clearer image before we proceed.
We may decline or cancel an order where the information or images provided are not genuine, where we cannot verify that the application relates to you or to someone you are authorised to represent, where payment cannot be completed or is reversed, or where fulfilling the order would breach the law or the rules of our payment providers or carriers. Where we cancel an order that you paid for and the fault is not yours, we refund you in full.
We do not make automated decisions about applications. No order is approved or refused by software alone.
10. Chargebacks and fraud prevention
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Charges appear on your statement as IDAOFFICE, and we will identify an order for you within one business day. Most disputes are an unrecognised descriptor or a family member's order.
What a chargeback does to your document. When a chargeback is filed against an order, the documents issued for it stop being valid while the dispute is open and can no longer be verified online. If the chargeback succeeds, that cancellation becomes permanent. If the dispute is withdrawn or decided in our favour, the documents are restored.
How we respond. We answer a chargeback with the evidence we hold: the order record and its metadata, proof of delivery, your acceptance of these Terms, and our correspondence with you.
Fraud controls. Our payment providers operate fraud and sanctions screening at the payment layer, and transactions they flag are declined automatically. We also review orders manually, and may request further verification where something does not add up. Filing a chargeback that you know to be unfounded, in order to keep a document without paying for it, is fraud, and we treat it accordingly.
11. Sanctions and export compliance
You confirm that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or acting on behalf of anyone in a country or region subject to comprehensive international sanctions, and that you are not on any applicable denied-party or sanctions list.
Our payment providers apply their own screening, and payments they associate with a sanctioned jurisdiction are normally declined. Carriers and postal operators separately suspend service to particular destinations from time to time. Where we cannot lawfully or practically fulfil an order for either reason, we cancel it and refund you in full. Destination limits are described in our Shipping Policy, and change from time to time.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, and refuse to issue or invalidate a document, where you materially breach these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy — in particular by submitting false or forged information.
Where circumstances allow, we will tell you what happened and give you a chance to respond. You may close your account at any time by writing to us; closing it does not by itself cancel an order in progress or entitle you to a refund outside our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which continues to govern any refund.
13. Changes to the service and Terms
We may modify the service or these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Our data practices additionally comply with the laws of the jurisdictions described in our Privacy Policy, which explains where your data is processed.
If you are a consumer, this does not take anything away from you. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable right you have under the law of your country of residence, and nothing prevents you from bringing proceedings in your own country where your law allows it. Consumers in the European Union retain the protections of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012; consumers in the United Kingdom retain those of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We do not require arbitration and we do not ask you to waive class or collective proceedings.
