Data controller
International Driving Authority is the controller of personal data collected on this website.
United States: 1321 Upland Dr., Ste. 3819, Houston, TX 77043
Eligibility
By using this website you confirm that you are at least the legal age in your jurisdiction and have authority to use our services.
Information we collect
Information you provide when you create an account or apply, which may include: first and last name, email address, postal address (street, city, state/province, postal code), a copy of your domestic driver's license, a personal photo, and payment information (card or other payment method details). This is used to deliver the service you request, for billing, and to contact you about your order.
Information collected automatically, including log data such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, and the date, time, and pages of your visit. We use this to maintain security, analyse usage, and improve the website. We may also collect aggregated, non-identifying demographic information.
Why we process your information and our legal basis
To perform our contract with you — process and deliver your order, provide support, and enforce our agreement. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
To comply with legal obligations — including tax, accounting, and security record-keeping, and responding to lawful requests. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c))
Our legitimate interests — to secure our systems, analyse and improve the website, and prevent fraud. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
With your consent — for marketing communications and certain non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a))
Disclosure of your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (for example, payment processing, shipping, email, customer support, analytics) only to the extent needed to deliver our service; they are required to keep it confidential and use it only for that purpose.
We may disclose information without notice where required to comply with the law or legal process, to protect our rights or property, or to protect the personal safety of users or the public. We may also transfer your information as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, reorganisation, or similar transaction.
International transfers
Our website is hosted and operated in the United States. By using the service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your personal information on servers located in the United States and to such other locations as our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards in place.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only as long as needed: to provide the services you requested, to comply with our legal obligations (including tax record-keeping periods), and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. On a written request, and where we are not legally required to retain it, we will delete data relating to a service you no longer use and can confirm deletion. Anonymised usage data may be retained for product improvement.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA, Brazil under LGPD), you may have the right to:
access the personal information we hold about you;
correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
request deletion of your information;
restrict or object to certain processing;
receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
withdraw consent at any time;
lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise your rights, contact [email protected]. We will first take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request. Note that if you withdraw consent or request deletion of data we need to provide the service, we may be unable to continue serving you.
Security
We use SSL/TLS to encrypt data in transit. Only authorised employees can access our data management systems. We use industry-standard hardware and software to protect data from unauthorised access. No system is completely secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Marketing and opt-out
You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by contacting us. Transactional messages about your order are not marketing and will still be sent.
Children's privacy
Our service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the website indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
