How to get a International Driving Permit in Guam?

According to the Vienna Convention of 1968, International Driving Permit are authorized to be issued by national governments or organizations to which these functions have been delegated. In most countries, this is done by automobile associations affiliated to the AIT/FIA, the police or other organizations.   • Guam is an unincorporated territory of the USA. The right to drive a vehicle is a privilege granted by this territory.
  • To obtain a driving license in Guam, you must demonstrate your professional skills. The license is valid for 3 years.
  • The following categories of people can drive without above-mentioned driving license: i. Military sent to Guam for service for a period during which their license is valid or while driving a military or government vehicle. ii. Visitors with a driver's license issued by any of the states, territories or possessions of the United States, for up to 1 month after arriving in Guam.
  • Driving on Guam is on the right side of the road.
  • The minimum age for obtaining a driver's license is 18.
