  • There is a right-hand traffic in Estonia.
  • The minimum age for renting a car is 19, for driving - 18.
  • Don’t forget to wear seat belts! This applies to both the driver and passengers.

  • Make sure that there are two warning triangles, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit in your car’s trunk.

  • The country has the following speed limits: in built-up areas - 50 km/h, on toll-free roads - 90 km/h, on the highway - 110 km/h (in summer). There are the following rules for cars with a trailer: in built-up areas - 50 km/h, on toll-free roads - 70 km/h, on the highway - 90 km/h. The maximum speed in the residential area shouldn’t exceed 20 km/h.
  • In the period from the 1st of December to the 1st of March, you must drive on winter tires.
  • It is forbidden to overtake the tram, which stopped for loading and unloading of passengers.
  • It is prohibited to use anti-radars.
  • You aren’t allowed to honk loudly in cities and villages.
  • There are no toll roads in Estonia.
  • In cities, parking spaces are marked with colors: "blue zones" are intended for short-term parking (1-1.5 hours), "green zones" - for long-term parking. No-parking zones are marked with red.
