For over a year, Moscow has been without events featuring antique cars. But last Sunday, this forced hiatus was finally broken. At precisely noon, the oldtimer rally “Ingosstrakh Exclusive Classic Day” kicked off from the Metropol Hotel, organized in collaboration with the Classic Car Rally Club. Fifty rare cars covered more than seventy kilometers through Moscow’s streets and squares in just three hours.

Despite its spectacle, it was still a genuine rally—complete with professional judging, a strict schedule, and even special stages. The event was divided into four distinct categories. In the “Veteran” category, the winner was the oldest car among the participants—the 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom (starting number 103, with drivers V. Popov and K. Evtafiev). The “Oldtimer” category was won by the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette with starting number 31 and crew members A. Mazurkevich and P. Bogachev. In the “Youngtimer” category, the winner was the 1974 VAZ-2101 “Kopeyka,” driven by the Simony family (O. and A. Simony), with starting number 1. And in the “Sport” category, the victory went to the 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE, also with a family crew (O. and B. Zharkov), starting at number 21.
